Where is the firewall I need to disable located?
There are a variety of locations that can affect QuillBot. We've found the most common to be contained in a browser, such as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc., or a software that is installed on the computer itself, such as a program like Windows Firewall, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, etc.
If disabling or whitelisting QuillBot in these programs does not work, the next step would be to try disabling ad blockers you are using on your browser, such as UBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus, Ghostly, and Privacy Badger.
