While this is a rare occurrence, QuillBot may permanently disable accounts that violate our Terms of Service or show signs of fraudulent activity.
Reasons your account may be disabled
1. Violation of our Terms of Service
Accounts may be disabled for activities that break our Terms, such as:
- Account sharing or reselling (selling or distributing access to others).
- Purchasing from unauthorized sellers (e.g., Shopee, Facebook, or third-party resellers).
- Abnormal account activity such as unusual device counts or excessive concurrent usage.
2. Fraudulent or suspicious payment activity
If an account is found to have used a fraudulent or disputed payment method, it is permanently disabled.
This includes:
- Payments made with stolen or invalid cards.
- Chargebacks or disputes marked as “fraudulent” by the cardholder.
We review payments regularly and may disable accounts based on suspicion of fraud to protect our users and systems.
3. Early fraud warnings
QuillBot uses Stripe’s early fraud detection tools to prevent misuse.
If a payment triggers an early fraud warning, the system automatically disables the account and issues a refund to the original payment method.
If you believe your account was disabled by mistake, please contact us and we can review your case. Remember, if you purchase QuillBot Premium from anywhere other than QuillBot itself—such as Shopee or a Facebook seller—these accounts are illegitimate and subject to permanent deactivation.
