How do I use or log in to Quillbot inside Microsoft Word?

You can access Quillbot’s Paraphraser and Grammar Checker directly within Microsoft Word after installing the Quillbot add-in. The integration allows you to edit, rewrite, and refine your writing seamlessly—without switching between applications.

Installation steps

1. Open Microsoft Word.
2. Go to Home > Add-ins > Get Add-ins.
3. In the search bar, type “Quillbot.”
4. Click Add to install the Quillbot Add-in.

After installation, you’ll find Quillbot under My Add-ins.

How to use Quillbot in Word

1. Click Quillbot in the toolbar.
2. Select Launch Quillbot.
3. The Quillbot sidebar will open on the right side of your document.
4. From the sidebar, you can access the Paraphraser and Grammar Checker to edit your text directly in Word.

How to log in

After you’ve launched QuillBot in Microsoft Word, you can log in directly from the sidebar.

1. In the Quillbot sidebar, scroll to the bottom of the panel.
2. Click Log in next to “For a better experience.”
3. Sign in with your Quillbot account credentials to access all available features.

Note: The Log in button is located at the bottom of the Quillbot sidebar, not in the toolbar.

Once you’re logged in, your account syncs automatically, giving you access to both free and Premium features depending on your plan.

Tips

• You must be connected to the internet to use the Quillbot add-in.
• If you’re using Word for the web, make sure you’re signed in to your Microsoft account before installing.
• Premium users can access advanced paraphrasing modes, higher word limits, and faster processing speeds.
