Where are the Paraphraser settings located?

Paraphraser settings (outside of modes and the Synonym Slider) are found by clicking the gear icon on the right side of the screen.

When you click the gear icon, a settings menu will open on the right side of the editor.

Types of settings

The settings are divided into two groups:

These options adjust how the AI rewrites your text:

Paraphrase quotations: When checked, sentences inside quotation marks will also be paraphrased.
Use contractions: Allows the AI to use contractions such as don’t, can’t, shouldn’t. If unchecked, the text will expand to do not, cannot, should not.
Prefer active voice: When checked, paraphrased text will favor active voice. Leave it unchecked if you don’t have a preference.

These options control what you see in the Paraphraser editor:

Use yellow highlight: Changes the selected sentence highlight color from blue to yellow.
Show tooltips: Toggle to display or hide tooltips.
Show legend: Toggle to display or hide the color legend.
Show changed words: Toggle to show or hide colored highlights for changed words.
Show structural changes: Toggle to show or hide yellow highlights for sentence structure edits.
Show longest unchanged words: Toggle to show or hide blue highlights for unchanged sequences.
