If you come across inappropriate, harmful, or misleading content in QuillBot’s AI Detector, you can easily flag and report it. This helps us keep the tool safe, accurate, and aligned with our community guidelines.
Where to find the flag option?
You can only flag a report after it has been shared. The option does not appear in your own private reports, since flagging is intended for content that’s being shared and reviewed by others.
Once the shared report is clicked to view, a “Flag this report” button will appear on the right-hand side of the screen (see screenshot below).
Clicking this button opens a menu where you can select a reason for reporting the content.
Reasons you can flag content
When reporting, you’ll be asked to choose the most relevant reason from the following categories:
- Commercial Content - Marketing or advertising of products or services.
- Illegal or Harmful Speech - Discriminatory, hateful, or abusive language.
- Copyright or Other IP Infringement - Use of copyrighted material without permission.
- Non-consensual Behavior - Content involving bullying, intimidation, or sharing images without consent.
- Pornography or Sexualized Content - Adult or sexually explicit material (excluding minors).
- Privacy Violations - Unauthorized disclosure of personal data.
- Protection of Minors - Content related to child exploitation or abuse.
- Self-harm - Material that encourages or depicts suicide or self-injury.
- Terrorist Content - Content that promotes extremist violence or terrorism.
Why reporting matters:
Flagging helps us:
- Protect users from harmful or unsafe content.
- Maintain compliance with legal and community standards.
- Improve the overall accuracy and reliability of QuillBot tools.
What happens after you report:
Once you flag content:
- Our moderation team reviews the report.
- If the content violates our guidelines, we’ll take appropriate action.
- In some cases, we may reach out for additional details.
