Well, nobody’s perfect. QuillBot uses machine learning to understand and improve on the paraphrases it makes; like a human, it can occasionally make mistakes based on the training data and human input it learns from.
Here are the most common causes of errors in QuillBot’s paraphrasing:
- No space after a period: If you end a sentence with a period but do not put a space between the period and the first word of the next sentence, our model will assume it is a single sentence.
- Mixing alphabets: English is written in the Latin script. If you have a sentence that incorporates letters from other alphabets, such as Cyrillic or Arabic, alongside letters from the Latin alphabet, you will receive errors.
- Line breaks: If you have a line break in the middle of a sentence, our model will treat it as two separate sentences instead of one, which will alter the meaning.
We are constantly training our AI to help reduce the mistakes QuillBot makes while also ensuring that the results you get read well and feel natural. If you get the same error over and over again, let us know so we can fix the problem.
